Careful.. it could be catching!

On the weekend we took a bunch of young people up to Pulse. It was really good! Jeremy foster is an awesome speaker and relates so well to youth! It's like he never left his teen years (even though he's married with kids now!) One funny thing I'm finding now since returning are the words and phrases that are popping into my head mid-conversation! Things like 'totally awesome dude!', 'sweet' or 'pumped'. I've got to stop myself before they come out my mouth!!

It's reminded me of the scripture:

1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners!

Now, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with these words or phrases but they have reminded me how important it is to filter the communications that we allow to surround ourselves and our children. We may not intentionally think, 'oh, I like that - I'll take that on board', but instead we kind of catch it - like a bug! I've been thinking today that I have some personal goals - one of which is to be a positive mum/wife. How important is it then, that I surround myself with positive people and influences in my daily life.

So.... to my lovely readers... as the old Sunday School song says...

Be careful little eye what you see.... AND
Be careful little ear what you hear....

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note....I HAVE AN OVEN DOOR!!! YAY!!!
For those who don't know, I've been without an oven door for about 5 years!!!
