Preschool Mini Album

I finished Hannah's this album for Hannah yesterday. It was heaps of fun and quite simple which meant I could get a bit done here and there.

As i said earlier, the original idea came from Elizabeth Kartchner. She's also putting a book out and you can catch a glimpse of it here.

Playmates MIA :(

Today Hannah went back for her last term of preschool. She was so excited and had made a little present for her preschool friend. Olivia on the other hand is not enjoying having her playmates away. She loved having both of her big sisters home in the holidays. She keeps asking to see ssss-awah (aka Sarah) and awah (aka Hannah). I put a Dvd on for Olivia after her nap and she got excited. "Awah!" she said. I think she thought Hannah must have been home.

Today I started on a mini album for Hannah's preschool year. I'm scraplifting this one here.

Here's another layout I finished this week.

A layout and a Challange

Recently I have had a chance to get a few layouts done. I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone and try different colours and textures etc. I've really enjoyed it, and am mostly pleased with my layouts.
The rolled paper flowers shown are the ones I was telling you about here.
---------------------
Notice on the right I have a blinkie from 'lime zest'.
They have begun fortnightly challanges. This week's is to include their blinkie on your blog. The prize for the challange is November's Full Tart (November scrapbooking kit.) So, if you're into scrapbooking, head over and grab the blinkie.

Rolled Paper Rose Tutorial

Just thought I'd share a tutorial I found for these pretty paper roses. I've put some on my most recent layout which I may post later. They're so easy to make and can be cut with scolloped scissors for a different effect. You can find the tutorial here at 'Lime Tart'.

Things I'm loving...

I've had a few opportunities to scrapbook over the past few days and I'm loving it. Just thought I'd share a couple of my favourite products with you. When my Hubby returns with the camera I will show you them in my albums.

Sandylion's Memo clear Stamps and Autumn leaves Mindy Flowers.I'm totally loving transparent stamps. Where have they been all this time?? I don't know how many times I have been SO unhappy with the placement of my foam stamps but these ones are fantastic. I haven't had a bad 'use' yet!

Well, to be really honest, I bought these letters because I loved the packaging, but the letters are SO nice to use too! They're double sided in the cutest colours. Perfect for a transparent album.
Cosmo Cricket's Storytime Chipboard Pieces
Another thing that I'm enjoying in the culinary area is cupcakes. My Sis in law bought me this book for my birthday last year (i think) and I hadn't made anything out of it until last night because everything looks SO decadent! I'm having a morning tea for a friends b'day at my place on Tuesday and I'm going to attempt a few of these most delicious looking cupcakes! This morning, in church, a very dear friend also gave me this book. I've been wanting to get into cake decorating for a while, and am thinking of beginning a class next semester. Anyway, this book is SO choccas full of info - so much so that I've got plenty to chew on for a while.

Scrappin' Bug

I've got the bug again, and I'm loving it!

At the moment I've got several projects I want to do...
1. My little Cherub's Transparent Album
I'm finally getting into it - and loving it. I was scrapping with my Sister in Law and she said - "just go for it" so I have. I'm doing random pages of everything and figure that as the year goes on I'll be able to add to the pages. I'd show you what I've done so far but hubby has the camera with him.
2. Missy's first day of school, writing and home reader pages.
3. Get started on Cherub's baby album.

So, I'm off for morning tea with my beautiful 'step' sister in law and her cute as a button 15 mth old then back home for some good solid scrapping!!
